XL Hybrids was recently named Electronic Design's Best Award Winner 2011 in the Components Category

Founded by a team from MIT, XL Hybrids has developed a hybrid electric conversion technology for Class 1 through 3 commercial vans and trucks. We engineered the powertrain to increase vehicle efficiency and reduce emissions, while generating a return on investment from the fuel savings.  XL Hybrids has commitments from some of the largest commercial fleets in the country to pilot test our hybrid van technology, starting in New England.
